Daulet Bolatuly Turlykhanov is one of the most outstanding representatives of the Kazakhstani and Soviet Greco-Roman wrestling schools. He is an Olympic silver and bronze medalist, world champion, world silver medalist, European and Asian champion, and an Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR. Turlykhanov competed in three Olympic Games and won medals at two of them. After his athletic career, he continued to contribute to the development of wrestling as a sports leader, organizer, and coach.
