U15 Greco-Roman wrestlers complete their campaign at the Asian Championships in Pattaya

The U15 Greco-Roman wrestling bouts have concluded at the Asian Championships currently taking place in Pattaya.

The Greco-Roman wrestlers, who were the first to compete, delivered a strong performance and finished second in the team standings. The team’s medal tally included 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.

In the weight category up to 48 kg, Rolan Kim became the Asian champion. In the final, he faced India’s Yash Yash and secured a technical superiority victory with a score of 8:0. At 52 kg,

Danial Qanatbai also climbed to the top of the podium. The Kazakh wrestler defeated Japan’s H. Miyoshi 9:0 in the final, earning the team its second gold medal. In the weight category up to 85 kg,

Yeraly Muratov produced an excellent result. In the decisive bout, he clearly prevailed over India’s S. Rajvir with a 10:0 victory and became the Asian champion.

Thus, Kazakhstan’s U15 Greco-Roman wrestling team began the continental championships with three gold medals, demonstrating the potential of the national team in the youth competition.

Silver medalist: Osman Aitugan (57 kg).

Bronze medalists: Bereket Ismagulov (38 kg); Raiymbek Zhaksylyk (41 kg); Nuraly Amangeldi (44 kg); Ruslan Bakir (68 kg).

It should be noted that the U15 and U20 Asian Championships will continue until July 5.
