Assyl Aitakyn is a member of Kazakhstan’s national freestyle wrestling team. He competes in the 61 kg weight category. He has represented Kazakhstan at youth and senior international competitions and won two bronze medals at the U23 World Championships. In 2024, he reached the final of the Asian Championships and claimed the silver medal.
