During the Congress of the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation, held in Astana, the Federation’s Secretary General Nuraddin Sadykov delivered a report on the “Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

“Today, the main task is to form a unified system for the development of Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling. At present, differences in the level of training across regions, support for the sports reserve, modernization of the competition system, digitalization and growing international competition require concrete solutions. In this regard, the Federation is proposing a development strategy until 2032. This document covers such areas as popularizing wrestling, preparing the sports reserve, strengthening the national team, developing women’s wrestling, improving the qualifications of coaches and referees, upgrading infrastructure and strengthening international cooperation.

Our goal is to build a common vertical structure between the Federation, regional federations, clubs, youth sports schools, academies, school leagues and student leagues. Each region must work as part of one unified system. Only then will a young athlete have a clear path of growth — from school to the national team. In the future, there are plans to create a unified information and analytical platform for athletes and coaches based on the example of the UWW website. Later, it will be integrated into the Federation’s official website. Our goal is not to work for just one Olympic cycle. We must create a sustainable system that will continuously produce champions for decades,” said Nuraddin Sadykov.
