Mamyrov Maulen Satymbayevich is one of the prominent figures in the history of Kazakh freestyle wrestling. He became one of the first wrestlers of independent Kazakhstan to win an Olympic medal. In 1996, at the Atlanta Olympic Games, Mamyrov claimed the bronze medal, strengthening the reputation of Kazakhstan’s wrestling school on the international stage.
During his athletic career, Maulen Mamyrov became an Asian Games champion, a World Championships medalist and a medalist of continental competitions. He won multiple national titles and was one of the leading members of the Kazakhstan national team. After retiring from competitive sports, he continued contributing to wrestling through the development of young athletes and the promotion of national sport.
