A working meeting attended by Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation Chair Erkin Okassov was held at the Federation’s office. The agenda focused on the national team’s preparations for the Asian Games and the organization of the World Wrestling Championships to be held in Astana.
During the meeting, heads of the Federation’s structural divisions reported on the work being carried out in their respective areas. Particular attention was given to the medical and recovery support of national team athletes, continuous monitoring of the training process, athletes’ daily routines and discipline during training camps, as well as their individual preparation for the season’s major international competitions.
The participants also discussed a comprehensive plan to maintain the athletes’ competitive form after the Asian Games, monitor their weight categories and ensure systematic preparation for the World Championships.
As part of preparations for the World Championships in Astana, the meeting addressed medical services, the deployment of emergency medical teams, a ticketing programme covering ticket prices and categories, interactive activities for fans, sports presentation, the production of official ceremonies, and the safety and sanitary condition of competition venues.
Separate attention was paid to developing a unified organizational standard for competitions held under the Federation’s auspices, strengthening the cybersecurity of the official website and information resources, and establishing an analytical unit for the national team. Modern digital tools and video analysis technologies are expected to be used to evaluate athletes’ performance, study opponents’ wrestling styles and analyse competition statistics.
Concluding the meeting, Erkin Okassov emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to preparations for the Asian Games and the World Championships, as well as the timely and high-quality completion of tasks in each area.
Following the meeting, responsible staff members received specific instructions and deadlines for their implementation.
