As part of his working visit to Hungary, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation Yerkin Okassov attended the international ranking tournament currently taking place in Budapest.
The Federation Chairman met with athletes and coaching staff from Kazakhstan’s Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling national teams. The meeting focused on the progress of the tournament, the wrestlers’ current level of preparation and plans for upcoming major competitions.
Yerkin Okassov stated that the Federation would continue to provide comprehensive support to the national team and praised the efforts of both athletes and coaches. He stressed that representing Kazakhstan on the international stage carries great responsibility and expressed his confidence in every wrestler.
Particular attention was given to preparations for the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, and the World Championships in Astana. The Federation Chairman emphasised the importance of approaching every stage of preparation with full responsibility and wished the athletes and coaches success in the upcoming competitions.
From 15 to 17 July, Team Kazakhstan won 2 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze medals at the ranking tournament in Budapest.
