The women’s wrestling bouts among athletes under 20 have concluded as part of the U15&U20 Asian Championships, which are taking place in Pattaya, Thailand. Kazakhstan’s junior team won five medals in women’s wrestling: two silver and three bronze.
In the 65 kg weight category, Zhanyl Beken became a silver medallist at the Asian Championships. In the final, she lost to Uzbekistan’s Muhayyo Narzilloeva. In the 68 kg weight category, Uldana Tileukhan claimed a silver medal. In the final bout, the Kazakh wrestler was defeated by China’s Sun Chenlin.
Bronze medals for Team Kazakhstan were won by Dinara Dauylkyzy, Anna Stratan and Aizhan Muratbay. In particular, in the 53 kg weight category, Dinara Dauylkyzy defeated Chinese Taipei’s Wei Ting Chen in the bronze-medal bout. In the 57 kg weight category, Anna Stratan beat Chinese Taipei’s Yu Hsuan Chen to finish in the top three. In the 59 kg weight category, Aizhan Muratbay defeated the Philippines’ Miriam Grace Balismin in the bronze-medal bout.
The U15&U20 Asian Championships are being held from June 27 to July 5 in Pattaya, Thailand.
