Kazakhstan's Bakdaulet Agabek claimed the gold medal in the 48 kg weight category at the U17 World Wrestling Championships in Baku.
In the gold-medal match, Agabek dominated India's Aaryan Aaryan, securing a 10–0 technical superiority victory to become the U17 world champion.
On his way to the title, Bakdaulet won all five of his bouts.
In the qualification round, he defeated Muslikhiddin Khodzhiev of Tajikistan 10–0 by technical superiority.
In the round of 16, he earned another 10–0 technical superiority victory over Bulgaria's Emir Dzhevatov.
In the quarterfinals, Agabek needed just 36 seconds to defeat Mongolia's Temuulen Usukhbayar 10–0.
In the semifinals, he faced 2026 U17 Asian champion Farrukh Makhmudov of Uzbekistan and earned a convincing 7–3 victory to advance to the final.
