KAZAKHSTAN WRESTLERS WIN 12 MEDALS AT BUDAPEST RANKING SERIES

The international tournament in memory of Imre Polyak, Janos Varga and Istvan Kozma has concluded in the Hungarian capital.

At the season’s final Ranking Series event on the United World Wrestling calendar, Team Kazakhstan won 12 medals: two gold, three silver and seven bronze.

In freestyle wrestling, Asyl Aitakyn and Yedige Kassymbek claimed gold medals, while Nurkozha Kaipanov finished with silver. Nurdanat Aitanov, Meirambek Kartbay, Adilet Almukhamedov and Nachyn Kuular earned bronze medals.

In women’s wrestling, Zhamila Bakbergenova won silver, while Zeynep Bayanova secured a bronze medal.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Yernur Fidakhmetov claimed silver, while Dinmukhamed Koshkar and Iskhar Kurbayev finished third.

Team Kazakhstan therefore concluded the tournament with a total of 12 medals.

3rd place — Zeynep Bayanova, 50 kg
3rd place — Dinmukhamed Koshkar, 67 kg
3rd place — Iskhar Kurbayev, 55 kg
