Kazakhstan Wins Two Silver Medals on Opening Day of Women’s Wrestling at Asian U17 Championships
The women’s wrestling competition has officially started at the Asian Wrestling Championships among U17 athletes. Medals were contested in five weight categories on the opening day of the tournament. Kazakhstan’s wrestlers competed in four medal bouts and secured two silver medals. In the 46 kg weight category, Bakkozha Inzhu advanced to the final, where she lost to a wrestler from Japan and finished the tournament with a silver medal. Arailym Kopzhassar achieved the same result in the 53 kg division. The Kazakh athlete was defeated by a Japanese opponent in the final and became a silver medalist of the continental championship. Two more Kazakh wrestlers competed in bronze medal matches. In the 61 kg category, Polatbay Aigerim lost to an athlete from India in the bout for third place. Meanwhile, in the 69 kg division, Khadisha Flyuk was defeated by a wrestler from Japan in her bronze medal match, narrowly missing out on a podium finish. As a result, Kazakhstan concluded the opening day of women’s wrestling at the Asian U17 Championships with two silver medals.
