The winners of the first five weight categories in U20 Greco-Roman wrestling have been determined at the U15 and U20 Asian Championships taking place in Pattaya, Thailand.
On the opening day of the competition, Team Kazakhstan won two silver medals and one bronze. Baqdaulet Tursynbek claimed silver in the 77 kg weight category, while Alikhan Tagayev won silver at 87 kg. Amirmukhammed Kabulov earned a bronze medal in the 55 kg category.
The medal bouts of the U20 Asian Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling will continue on July 2. On that day, five more wrestlers from Team Kazakhstan will compete in the 60, 67, 72, 82 and 97 kg weight categories.
