Kazakhstan's Freestyle Wrestlers Win Four Medals on Final Day of the U17 Asian Championships
The U17 Asian Wrestling Championships concluded in Da Nang, Vietnam. On the final day of competition, freestyle wrestlers competed in seven weight categories. Kazakhstan was represented in all seven divisions, with five athletes advancing to medal bouts. Mardan Orynbassar claimed a silver medal in the 60 kg weight category. The Kazakh wrestler advanced to the final, where he narrowly lost a thrilling match to Uzbekistan's Bekzodbek Ibrokhimov with a score of 8-10. Kazakhstan earned three bronze medals on the final day. In the 51 kg category, Sabyrzhan Rakhatov defeated an Uzbek opponent 4-4 on criteria to secure a place on the podium. In the 55 kg division, Temirgali Muradt captured bronze after defeating a wrestler from the Republic of Korea by a score of 5-1. Another bronze medal was won by Nurislam Aitugan in the 92 kg category. He dominated Mongolia's representative in the bronze-medal match, securing a technical superiority victory with a score of 10-0. Sagyndykk Temirgali also competed for a bronze medal in the 110 kg division but was defeated by Kyrgyzstan's Ilyas Takirov. As a result, Kazakhstan's freestyle wrestling team finished the final day of the U17 Asian Championships with one silver and three bronze medals.
