The women's wrestling competition at the U17 World Championships concluded in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Kazakhstan's team finished the tournament with one silver and one bronze medal. Aisha Abdimalik claimed the silver medal, while Inzhu Bakkozha secured bronze. Kazakhstan placed eighth in the overall medal standings.
Aisha Abdimalik's Road to Silver
Competing in the 65 kg weight category, Aisha Abdimalik opened her campaign with an 8–3 victory over Hungary's Sonja Veres. She then defeated Eve Scroggi of the United States 7–6 in the round of 16, edged Margarita Lisita of Moldova 13–12 in the quarterfinals, and beat Greece's Vasiliki Karavanou 8–1 in the semifinals.
In the gold medal match, Aisha faced Mongolia's Ariunzul Boldbaatar. The two had previously met at the U17 Asian Championships, where the Mongolian wrestler came out on top. In the world championship final, Boldbaatar again prevailed, winning 4–0, while Abdimalik earned the silver medal.
Inzhu Bakkozha's Road to Bronze
In the 46 kg category, Inzhu Bakkozha began the tournament with an emphatic 11–0 technical superiority victory over Anastasia Neklyaeva of Belarus. She then defeated Ayana Niyazbekova of Kyrgyzstan 12–2 in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinal, Bakkozha lost to India's Sandhiya Vishnoi. In the bronze medal bout, however, she defeated 2026 U17 European champion Alina Baranova of Russia 8–2 to secure the bronze medal.
As a result, Kazakhstan's women's wrestling team concluded the U17 World Championships in Baku with one silver and one bronze medal.
