As part of the event, a wrestling hall was opened at School-Gymnasium No. 114, and the school was presented with a modern permanent wrestling mat. This will ensure the sustainable operation of wrestling sections and provide students with safe and high-quality training conditions.
In the future, under the School Wrestling League project, 4–5 schools in each city of republican significance and 2–3 schools in each region will be selected. By the end of the year, approximately 100 schools are expected to be equipped with the necessary wrestling equipment and training facilities.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will work together to promote wrestling among school students, organize school and interschool competitions, improve the qualifications of coaches and teachers, and support the development of young athletes.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, the Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation, sports organizations, coaches, students, and members of the media.
The initiative is expected not only to promote a wrestling culture among schoolchildren but also to contribute significantly to the development of future champions and the growth of wrestling and national sports in Kazakhstan.
